The Nanchang August 1 Uprising Memorial Hall is a thematic memorial hall set up to commemorate the Nanchang Uprising. It was built in 1956 and officially opened to the outside world in 1959. In 1961, it was announced by the State Council as the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in the country (five former revolutionary sites under its jurisdiction-the former site of the Nanchang Uprising Headquarters, the former site of the Helong Headquarters, and the former site of the Ye Ting Headquarters, The former site of the Zhu De Officer Education Corps and the former residence of Zhu De). The older generation of proletarian revolutionaries such as Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, and Chen Yi, as well as party and state leaders such as Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao, and Xi Jinping came to visit and guide, expressing their deep concern for our museum.
