Danish architect Dorte Mandrup created her eponymous architecture firm in 1999. The company comprises over 70 design professionals ranging from architects and construction specialists that work from its office in Copenhagen.

ILULISSAT ICEFJORD CENTRE - Dorte Mandrup's vision for the new Icefjord Centre in Ilulissat is a harmonious integration with the breathtaking landscape. It serves as an ideal vantage point, offering locals, tourists, and climate researchers an unparalleled opportunity to immerse themselves in the Icefjord's rich history. This remarkable center is dedicated to narrating the story of ice, encompassing the historical significance and the evolution of humanity, both locally and on a global scale.







THE WHALE - "The Whale" serves as a captivating storyteller of the ocean's magnificent inhabitants. It rises gently from the rocky shoreline, resembling a soft hill, as if a colossal force had lifted a thin layer of the Earth's crust to create a subterranean cavity beneath.







KARLSKRONA CULTURE HOUSE AND LIBRARY - Central areas of the Swedish city Karlskrona have earned the distinction of being a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to their distinctive architectural features and historical ties to the navy. The project for a new Culture House and Library is positioned within this culturally significant urban environment. It seeks to harmoniously integrate the historical and contemporary aspects of Karlskrona.
