Mundonovo Coffee Machine – Mundo Novo, a New York-based startup, focuses on creating innovative automatic coffee machines tailored for bars and restaurants. By optimizing design, mechanics, and production, they have developed a cost-effective solution that stands out in the market. Their machine automates the pour-over brewing process using a spiral water motion, faithfully replicating the ritual to deliver a perfect cup of coffee. The project, completed in a short timeframe, made its debut at the Coffee Expo in Chicago, the industry's premier event.







ThermalGlass – In a recent wearable project, an innovative concept from Holoindustry—a Foxconn-backed startup—was transformed into a cutting-edge prototype. The vision aimed to combine visible and infrared light to enable functionalities such as seeing in the dark, through walls or smoke, and monitoring fluid and gas temperatures. Collaborating closely with the Holoindustry team, the design was tailored to address the specific needs of end users, including firefighters, zoologists, security professionals, and park rangers. The result is a revolutionary thermal imaging eyewear that seamlessly integrates advanced technology with ergonomic design. Debuting at CES in Los Angeles, this groundbreaking product is poised to redefine the wearable tech market.







Color Maker – Color Maker is an innovative vending machine specifically designed for hair salons, serving as an automatic hair dye mixer. Equipped with a 15-inch touchscreen, it allows hairdressers to select precise dye colors using unique codes. The system expertly blends 10 shades and hydrogen peroxide with remarkable accuracy, dispensing the mixture automatically. This project provided a comprehensive, turnkey solution for the client, encompassing industrial design, electronics, software interface design, and production-ready drawings. Developed for Telièr, an innovative startup, the machine is poised for launch in both Italian and international markets.







Medical Supply Column – A new distribution column and arm for operating rooms were designed for LM Medical, a family-owned company and global leader in medical devices. The project commenced with a comprehensive benchmark analysis of the client’s product line to identify strengths and areas for enhancement. Key opportunities included modernizing the design, improving performance, enhancing user experience, optimizing production and assembly, reducing costs, and simplifying maintenance. Within just 90 days, a prototype was developed and built, making its debut at Arab Health 2023 as part of LM Medical's new product line.







Kippy cat – Founded in 2014, Kippy specializes in GPS trackers for pets and has recently expanded its product line to include devices for cats. The company collaborated on the design of a lightweight, durable tracker equipped with an adjustable silicone collar. The device integrates advanced features such as WiFi, Bluetooth, an accelerometer, a SIM card, and a lithium battery. The design reflects Kippy’s brand identity and includes a quick-release system. Certified with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, the product’s assembly process was also optimized for efficiency. The new device made its debut at CES 2023 in Las Vegas.







AICube Toothbrush – Within the AICube initiative, PQ Design Group introduced a groundbreaking toothbrush designed to double as a health diagnostic device. This innovative product employs a microfluidic system enhanced by optical sensors and precision pumps to collect and analyze saliva noninvasively, seamlessly integrating health monitoring into a daily habit. By combining advanced technology with intuitive usability, the toothbrush exemplifies PQ Design Group's focus on creating practical, user-friendly tools for continuous health management, including applications for type 2 diabetes care.







BeGenius – Elitech, a global distributor of in vitro diagnostic equipment, collaborated with PQ Design Group to develop BeGenius®, an advanced instrument for Molecular Biology laboratories. BeGenius® is designed to be intelligent, user-friendly, and highly efficient. PQ Design Group crafted a distinctive aesthetic, incorporating green and bench tones to reflect the brand’s identity. The design emphasizes usability, featuring convenient access to essential components such as cassettes, consumables, and the touch screen. An innovative, custom-designed door mechanism further enhances accessibility. The final product adheres to all regulatory standards, achieving a balance between cutting-edge innovation and stringent safety requirements.







Smart Transport Capsule – PQ Design Group collaborated with ABzero, a spin-off from the BioRobotica Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, to design a smart medical capsule for drone transport of blood, organs, and medical products. The capsule ensures safe, efficient delivery while complying with regulations and maintaining the integrity of its contents. The project included electronics integration, drone compatibility, and prototype development for validation and flight tests. Made from lightweight, isothermal foam material, the capsule combines durability with functionality, supporting seamless use by medical staff.







Home smart security devices – PQ Design Group collaborated with Zurich, the renowned Swiss insurance company, to design a suite of home security devices, including a router, sensors, camera, and remote control, offering 360-degree protection. The concept was developed through an in-depth analysis of industry trends and the brand’s identity. The CMF (Color, Material, Finishes) design reinforced Zurich’s visual language by incorporating carefully chosen colors, materials, finishes, lighting, and graphics. The final product embodies Zurich’s brand image and commitment to excellence, delivering a comprehensive home security solution for their clients.
