from the Drought Impact Reporter from 2000 through November 20, 2025. Daily DIR data collection began in 2005 but some historic impacts are included.

You can filter impacts by U.S. Drought Monitor status, season, weeks in drought, industry and date range. This may provide insight on what to expect when a state is experiencing a certain level of drought. To find more detail on an individual impact, such as spatial extent, go to the Drought Impact Reporter and use the Impact Id Number filter.
