Tangjiahe in Qingchuan, Sichuan, is one of the hotspots for global biodiversity conservation. Reputed as a "natural gene bank", it is also known as one of the regions in China with the highest rate of encounters with rare wildlife at low altitudes. In 2014, he became the youngest leader of the Protection Station in Baixiongping, Tangjiahe. Under the guidance of Diao Kunpeng, the Protection Station in Baixiongping has been transformed into a popular protection station on the internet. In 2019, Diao founded a new organization—Qingye Ecology, and has continued to carry out scientific researches primarily on the giant panda Alongside natural education initiatives. In Tangjiahe, Diao has reinvented himself as a natural education instructor. He leads a team that designs and publishes information on nature conservation in various formats online, organizes offline natural education activities. He is dedicated to providing a scientific, rational and human-centered system of natural education. Now, Tangjiahe's natural education has taken shape, with over 2,000 visitors participating in natural education annually and more than 50 in-depth experience groups. From a dedicated giant panda conservationist in the wild to a natural education instructor of the National Park, Diao has over the course of 10 years found a natural education model highly suitable for conservation areas, he has also developed new ideas for the guardianship of the National Park.
