[Ecological Resources]
The good ecological environment of Anhui, particularly the mild weather, abundant rainfall and loamy soil, makes it an ideal habitat for a wide variety of animals and plants. The Chinese (Yangtze) alligator and Chinese river dolphin (white-fin dolphin) are rare animals in the world that live in the Yangtze River flowing through the south of Anhui.
In 2025, the total area of afforestation reached 72.2 thousand hectares, of which 14.5 thousand hectares were afforested by manpower. 458.4 thousand hectares of forest received tending treatment. At the end of 2025, there were 8 national natural reserves and 35 provincial ones.

[Agricultural Resources]
Anhui has a wide range of agricultural products, with the output of grain, cotton and oil ranking among the highest in the nation. It is one of the most important bases for yielding pollution-free staple agricultural produce and organic food in China. It has a promising future for further agricultural industrialization. In 2025, the province harvested 41.928 million tons of grain and 1.937 million tons of edible oils. Anhui takes the lead in China for developing special and high profit agricultural products, including tea, tobacco, Chinese traditional herbal medicines, vegetables and fruits.
