Anqing Normal University (AQNU) is located in Anqing, a famous national historical and cultural city lying is the southwest of Anhui Province.

The university has two campuses, Longshan campus and Linghu campus, which cover an area of 2,800 mu (about 1.87 square kilometers) altogether. There are 17 schools and departments offering 66 undergraduate programs, covering literature, economics, history, law, education, science, engineering, management, agriculture and art. There are 12 academic master programs and 16 professional master programs. The university now has faculty of 2,000 and 25,000 full-time students.

AQNU has formed friendship and cooperation with a number of overseas universities, including Salisbury University, University of Central Arkansas, and University of Hildesheim in Germany. It has carried out effective cooperation with these universities in terms of faculty exchange, students exchange, teaching and research, etc.
