G6

RGB Tandem 2.0 display panel, which advances on the Primary RGB Tandem panel used in the LG G5, one of 2025's best TVs. Enhancements include Hyper Radiant Color technology for improvements to color and contrast.

Brightness Booster Ultra feature that will provide a 20% brightness increase over the G5.

Reflection Free Premium tech will enable the G6 to deliver “perfect black’ in light or dark viewing conditions, with lower than 0.5% screen reflectance.

Nvidia G-Sync, FreeSync Premium Pro, and 4K 165Hz support, plus a Motion Booster feature that allows for 1080p gaming at 330Hz.

Also be the world’s first TV with built-in 4K 120Hz cloud gaming (via GeForce Now) and ultra-low latency Bluetooth controller support.

The G6 also adds an Ambient Filmmaker Mode, using a built-in light sensor to adapt the image to the room without abandoning accurate picture settings

C6H

Only available in 77-inch and 83-inch models,

Uses a Primary RGB Tandem panel – the same kind of panel used in the LG G5

Doesn't have the same anti-reflective coat as the G5/G6 though.

C6

Processor upgrade?

W6

LG G6's screen and processing, in a super-thin 9.9mm body, and with LG's wireless Zero Connect box for all connectivity

According to Vincent no HDMI 2.2 or Dolby Vision 2. I’ll be waiting for those features before I upgrade personally.

Probably the complexity, the only manufacturer using it this year is Hisense... they're being used as a bit of a guinea pig. I personally wouldn't buy a DV2 equipped TV for at least a few generations post its availability.

Most manufacturers can't even get DV1 right. There's consistant issues with raised black levels, poor EOTF tracking and not to mention the inconsistant performance from Netflix, Disney etc, DV grading is an afterthought for most of them.

Don't even get me started on DV Gaming. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would even give DV2 a chance for years to come.

In light of everything from ces I'd say well done to anyone who took last week's deal on the G5 83. C6 similar but who knows when it will be 5k.

20% will more likely be 2% in real world testing.

I thought the C6H sounded promising, wondering if that'll be a decent compromise at the 77-83 inch size range price wise to get a decent upgrade from a c1 65.

Bit bummed I missed out on the 4.8k deal for the G577, had too many bills to pay at the time and couldn't pull the trigger, now I have lack of buying remorse

Me too, the main difference is a lack of heatsinks on the C6H series which likely means worse sustained brightness than the G5. Won't matter much for movies, but if you're planning to play games on the TV then sustained peak brightness matters. It's also (very likely) 1 year panel warranty on the C6H vs 5 years on the G5/6.

As Osir1s said, if the G4 clearance sale in 2025 was anything to go by, you'll likely see the G5 reach low $4k when the G6 start coming in. The question to ask yourself is whether you would regret not waiting. I was asking myself the same question the past two weeks and I think my answer is – yes, I'd regret.

What I'm most looking forward to is the Hyper Radiant Colour and the Premium ant-reflection coating techs for the Tandem 2.0 panel. We recently bought a white couch for our home theatre room and have been regretting it ever since :P

Don't buy the G6 77 at launch, by EOFY the G6 could reach $5-6k (again based on G5 prices during EOFY 2025).

they need to get the 97 onto the new tech
Also no DTS is a bummer. I use Plex and its good being able to play a lot of movies without converting audio

Licencing fees (similar to DV and Samsung) and no streaming services use it. If you need it for your disc (rips) – your better off going player >AVR/Soundbar >TV anyway
