Yes bit messy if he is allowed to join Renault while current season is still going almost. Last time similar happened the person was told by the teams to sit out for 12 months.

Swiss law though says 3 months is the legally enforceable maximum gardening leave that can be imposed.

could be bad for renault as well, any bit on the car that looks or conceptually like anything designed by other teams could be taken to court as they wont have the IP

It would be good if they could get consistent clarity in the commentary of a Track Record versus a Lap Record...

In practise and qualifying they compare the times to the Lap Record with all sorts of nonsensical disclaimers that cause confusion?

Shouldn't they just get it cleared up and in non-race sessions only compare lap times to the 'track record' ?

I still don't get the ridicule of the Sky team, they have 4 ex f1 drivers on the team, with one still currently active. Admittedly Crofty still stuffs a few things up, but the knowledge and insights of this crew leave all others far behind, well I reckon anyway.

They are funny with their inbuilt biases is all. They are knowledgeable for sure , with the sort of knowledge that comes from actually driving the cars for the most part. Not to mention they have good access to people as well like Toto and Christian Horner.

They are no Muddly Talker though for comedy value. :)

Had to love the exchange last weekend ;

Anyone else noticed Danny RIC behaving progressively worse over the past few months? Inappropriate jokes and inuendos, now the pouring water over Max VES. To a lesser extent, slamming the Champagne bottle down to open it. Never seen that before.

Maybe doing the Shoey does have side effects?

Agree. The issue is the fake excitement Crofty inserts by yelling and speaking fast, it has ruined many starts and passes / close calls etc. as his voice gets louder, and getting ssssoooooooo much wrong. Paul D is good as are the others.

His behavior is certainly a bit weird at times. I think he's stretching the limits a bit. He's relying on people accepting it on account of him being an easy-going Aussie but with this attitude he's going to start rubbing people up the wrong way sooner or later.
