The following software packages are available from ECMWF's collaborative website. Member and Co-operating States' national meteorological services should first check with Software Support for availability of additional software.

Software	Description	Free download (unless stated otherwise)
ecCodes	Encodes and decodes WMO FM-92 GRIB messages (editions 1 and 2) and WMO FM-94 BUFR messages (editions 3 and 4). Note: ecCodes is an evolution of GRIB API	Download ecCodes
ecFlow	Enables users to run a large number of programs (with dependencies on each other and on time) in a controlled environment.	Download ecFlow
Magics	Supports the plotting of contours, wind fields, observations, satellite images, symbols, text, axes and graphs (including boxplots).	Download Magics
Metview	Accesses, manipulates and visualises meteorological data.	Download Metview
Aeolus	ECMWF and KNMI develop the Aeolus Level-2B wind retrieval software, the main output of which are HLOS wind observations, which are suitable for use in NWP and meteorological research.	Request Aeolus download
Web API	ECMWF Web API is a set of services developed by ECMWF to allow users from the outside to access some internal features and data of the centre. ​	See documentation
ECaccess	ECaccess provides a portal for registered users to access the ECMWF computing and archiving facilities with single step authentication from anywhere on the Internet.	Download ECaccess

Discontinued software

Software	Description
BUFRDC	Encodes and decodes WMO FM-94 BUFR code messages. Includes tools for conversion between BUFR and CREX.
EMOSLIB	Includes interpolation software and BUFR, CREX encoding and decoding routines.
