How to get involved in WCRP



The success of WCRP is directly related to the proactive involvement of climate scientists and the effective participation of organizations from around the world. Below we provide links to the latest opportunities to engage, directly or indirectly. Please also see our events page, for upcoming workshops, conferences, and summer schools. 

Current opportunities

We periodically issue open calls for our steering committees, including for the WCRP Joint Scientific Committee and the scientific steering committees of our core activities. In addition, there are often other opportunities to connect or to work for us on particular projects or activities. Please see the current list of opportunities.

WCRP Climate Research Forums

If you are new to WCRP or you are interested in becoming more involved, we recommend that you attend one of our WCRP Climate Research Forums. These are regional Forums that provide a chance to exchange ideas, discuss new activities and opportunities being developed by WCRP, and explore ways that our community of scientists, partner programs, funders, and end-users of our climate science can engage.
