many do. Leaptel probably best at 12 months. Some fixed price are at 12 or 24 months now. But if churning every 6 months, do some research and avoid the 30 day fee at the end of your 6 months.

5 weeks later:

User #747135191 posts

eddiesun

Whirlpool Forums Addict

https://whrl.pl/RgW6Iw
herring|anchor|mark

Reply to this post

posted Wednesday at 11:58 am

replyherringmarkurl

https://whrl.pl/RgW6Iw
posted Wednesday at 11:58 am

acermanau writes...

30 day fee at the end of your 6 months.

what u mean by 30 days fee?

User #1347823948 posts

ozimarco
Neptune Internet FTW

Whirlpool Forums Addict

https://whrl.pl/RgW689
herring|anchor|mark

Reply to this post

posted Wednesday at 11:34 pm

replyherringmarkurl

https://whrl.pl/RgW689
posted Wednesday at 11:34 pm

eddiesun writes...

what u mean by 30 days fee?

Some ISPs, like Superloop and the TPG group, require 30 days' notice before leaving. If you fail to give notice, they will charge you for another month after you have churned. Quite a number of people have had the fee waived after threatening to go the TIO or ACCC, but it is a PITA nonetheless. It's best to avoid ISPs with a notice policy.

User #747135191 posts

eddiesun

Whirlpool Forums Addict

https://whrl.pl/RgW69H
herring|anchor|mark

Reply to this post

posted Thursday at 12:44 am
edited Thursday at 12:55 am

replyherringmarkurl

https://whrl.pl/RgW69H
posted Thursday at 12:44 am (edited Thursday at 12:55 am)

this post was edited

why didn't ICC and ACCC do anything with 30 days which i believe is illegal for them to do...just aware that people able to be waive as they go to TIO...

wondering when you guys churn and cancel? for example end of date it's 10 and i be looking at moving on 7th..let them know on the 7th or by end of billing cycle?

Archive VersionMark as readGo to watched threads

Industry news
Submit news

Previous articles

Discussion forum
Search

Popular topics

Newest topics

Community Rules

Moderation FAQ

Whirlpool FAQ

Rep code of conduct

Knowledge base
Index

Local time6:42 AM AEST1 August 2026Membership941,376 registered members5,219 visited in past 24 hrs114 members online now919 guests visiting nowBig numbers3,937,540 threads76,601,115 posts4,990 wiki topics2,272 modems & routers86,017 features filled

ComputersDesktopsLaptopsPeripheralsWindowsAppleLinux/BSDTechnologyModems/RoutersNetworkingTelephonyServers/HostingWeb developmentProgrammingServer managementISPsChoosing an ISPBroadbandNBNTelstra BroadbandOptus BroadbandAussie BroadbandTPG GroupSuperloopVocus GroupExetelOther ISPsMobileMobile carriersWireless ISPsiPhoneAndroid phonesAndroid tabletsOther phonesLifeJobsEducationGraduate programsFinanceReal EstateLifestyleShoppingTravelEntertainmentHome theatreTV showsMoviesMusicGamingSportLoungesAutomotivePhotographyHomeHome techEnergyHobbies/InterestsGadgetsOn the internetHelpWhirlpool FAQCommunity rulesModeration FAQRep code of conductPrivacy policyLegal complaintsSectionsHardware databaseKnowledge baseWhirlpool.net.au Copyright © 2026
Whirlpool.net.au

Legal

------
导航页 打开网址
</card></wml>
