I know it sometime away but my next payment will be the last I get a discount on and being on a pension that helps a lot.
I'm with DoDo ATM and they have been fine, but it will go up to $90+ after that so do we expect ISPs to change a lot in the next few months?
Just looking a head for any information that others may have.
Thanks for any help in the matter.

I have a good modem that works at that speed the AXE5400 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E Gaming Router so no need to get one from the ISP.

You can ask but the answer is almost certainly no. NBN Margins are tight and the days of "special deals" are long gone. Its generally take it or leave it. No biggie though as switching takes about 10 minutes.

I stuffed up and payed for my next month with DoDo, not that big a deal as they have been good for me but the prices has jumped up to just under $100.
I have to put a reminder on my phone calendar.
Then Ill will be checking out ether https://www.exetel.com.au/broadband/nbn withe their One Plan 500/50 at $80 a month or https://carboncomms.com.au/pages/carbon-comms-nbn-plans and their Carbon Home Fast 500/50 nbn also $80 a month.
Anyone here using their service?

Just be mindful Exetel is CGNAT only and online support only.

Carbon only has one POP in Sydney meaning longer 'lag' when browsing Internet etc.

A better option is Leaptel or Neptune

Our household is also looking to switch from Optus as it is getting to expensive.

My housemate has his phone on Optus also so it works about about $150 per month.

Also it says 100Gbps but I never get above 50Gbps for some reason?

I have a cable running through the roof from the NBN hub to my room as I work from home.

Not sure if we get to keep the Optus NBN box as it has been a couple of years?

Does anyone think this is a good option?
I don't know what Optus is like.
You can pock the 500 – 43 but it defaults to 100 – 18.
The add is misleading as it has the following at the top.
Unlimited internet from $39/month for a year. Plus collect 10,000 additional Flybuys points on every plan, even the lowest speed 25 – 8 is $59 a month.
But when you pick a plan from the Promo list teh price is way higher, $109 but normally $119.

Whilst the new CEO (of 1 year) and board give hope for the future it will take years to bring about.

Generally 500/50 falls around $95pm +/- $5 unless you are looking at limited term offers.

The outliers are Exetel and Buddy at $80pm and $85pm respectively.

Id like to keep it at or lower then $80

If that's the important point look at 25/10 services for wider range of providers.
