NMEFC Issues Storm Surge Advisory on BIPARJOY

The National Marine Environmental Forecasting Center (NMEFC; reached by at tel. +86-10-62173615 or by email at fbcz@nmefc.cn; website: www.nmefc.cn) of China issued a storm surge advisory on VSCS BIPARJOY at 0200 UTC, June 13 2023:



        Storm surge of 0.8-1.6 m will occur along the coasts of Sindh in Pakistan and Gujarat in India during the time of landfall (12:00 14th-12:00 16th June).The storm tide accompanied by large and destructive waves will inundate low-lying areas along the coasts as mentioned above.

It's strongly suggested that residents living in the above affected coastal areas should pay more attention to subsequent warnings, and immediately evacuated to safe regions if necessary.
