Compare

Compare

The outputs of a system can be compared to another system, team, postcode or previous outputs of the same system.

Outputs can be compared over the following time intervals



Live (5 to 15 mins)



Daily



Weekly



Monthly



Yearly




All comparisons use the normalised energy per kW panels (kWh/kW) data set.

To compare a system, find and display the system outputs using the Find system search or by clicking on the system name such as the Ladder or Live Outputs pages.

Use the Compare search on the system page to find a system, team, postcode or previous outputs to compare against.

Refer to the Search section on how to use the search facility.


General Comparisons


System

To compare the current system against another system, type in part of the system name, size, postcode, distance etc.



Team

To compare the current system against another team, type in part of the team name followed by the Team suffix.



Postcode

To compare the current system against all the systems in a postcode, type in the postcode.



Retrospective

To compare the current system with its previous outputs, type a number followed by the day, week or month suffix.




Live Comparisons


System vs System

To compare live systems goto the system intraday chart. Search for the secondary system to compare to. Only systems with live data on the same day as the current system will appear in the search results.



Retrospective

To compare the live outputs of the same system on a different date, type in a date in dd/mm/yy format to compare the current live output with a past date.



Multiple System

To compare up to six live systems on the same graph -



Compare two live systems.



Add additional systems to the comparison via the Add search field.



Click on the rubbish bin icon next to the system you wish to remove from the comparison.



Click on the system name to switch to the more detailed System vs System comparison.






Multiple Dates

To compare up to six live output dates on the same graph -



Compare two output dates.



Add additional dates to the comparison via the Add search field.



Click on the rubbish bin icon next to the date you wish to remove from the comparison.



Click on the date to switch to the more detailed retrospective comparison.






Record Dates

Enter #r in the Compare search to retrieve the following list of record dates relative to the current date -



The lifetime record output date.



The best output dates of the last 3 months, e.g. Jan, Feb, Mar for 03-Mar



The best output dates of the last 5 years on the same month, e.g. Mar 2016 - Mar 2020







Other Comparisons


Same Month

To compare the same month from a previous year for a system, i.e. Oct 2012 vs Oct 2013



Click Your Outputs



Enter 12 days in the Compare field.



Select the option Compare 12 days ago



Click Monthly below the graph.



Select Customise and change the graph type to Bar






Yearly Compare

To compare a year with the previous year for a system, i.e. 2014 vs 2013



Click Your Outputs



Enter 1 day in the Compare field.



Select the option Compare 1 day ago



Click Yearly below the graph.



Select Customise and change the graph type to Bar

1 Vertical labels refers to systems on the left hand side of the comparison.



Options


Hide Gaps

This option only shows comparison records where data exists for both systems. This option is recommended when comparing systems with missing data.

For live system comparisons, gaps are automatically hidden when the systems have different status intervals.



Same Conditions

This option only shows comparison records where the weather condition is identical for both systems.



Age Derate

This option normalises the performance outputs for both systems taking into account the differences in age of the installation.

A derating of 1.0% assumes a one percent loss in performance after one year of operation.
