Maps

The mapping facility allow systems to be plotted based on their postcode/zipcode or latitude and longitude position.

Each system is shown as a marker on the map. There are three different types of markers displayed.


Blue Markers - Systems with a postcode are grouped in blue markers. Multiple markers are shown for postcodes with a large number of systems.



Red Markers - An individual system with a pinned location.



Orange Marker - The home system either at a postcode location or pinned location. Distances shown are relative to this system.


Systems that do not have postcode information (i.e. outside Australia, UK or US) or where the postcode covers a large geographical area, may wish to manually update their location.


Map Types

Maps are displayed on the following screens -


System Map

The System Map page is displayed by selecting the Map link under the system graph. Systems within a 25km radius of the selected system are shown on the map.

By default the table data beneath the map lists surrounding system by distance.


Tip

Click on the system name in the table to centre on the system on the map.




State Map

The State Map page is displayed by selecting the corresponding state link on the PV Donut or individual system maps.

By default the table data beneath the map lists each system in the state by total generation.



Country Map

The Country Map page is displayed by selecting the corresponding country link that appears on the Country Statistics page. The country map is only available for countries without any postcode/zipcode data.

By default the table data beneath the map lists each system in the country by total generation.




System Location

Systems with a postcode/zipcode will automatically default to the postcode latitude/longitude location on the map.

Postcode data is supported and required for the following countries -



Australia



United Kingdom



United States



Netherlands



Belgium



Denmark



Italy




Where a more precise location is required, the location editor allows the system to be placed in any desired location. For systems where adding a postcode is not supported a location must be saved for the system to appear on a map.


Editing System Location

To update the system location -



Login and open the System Editor



Click on Location button next to the Postcode field



Choose the location by clicking on the map.



Click Save in the location popup.







Map Layers

By default the street map layer is displayed. Donation accounts also have access to the following layers -



Satellite



Terrain



Monochrome



Watercolor
