Overview

PVOutput is a free online service for sharing and comparing photovoltaic solar panel output data. It provides both manual and automatic data uploading facilities.

Output data can be graphed, analysed and compared with other pvoutput contributors over various time periods. The ability to compare with similar systems within close proximity allows both short and longer term performance issues to be easily identified. While pvoutput is primarily focused on monitoring energy generation, it also provides equally capabable facilities to upload and monitor energy consumption data from various energy monitoring devices.

Both solar generation and energy consumption data can be combined to provide a ‘Net’ view of energy being either generated or consumed live.

This document is a guide to the various features found on the website.

Getting Started

To begin recording outputs a registered account and system is required.



Create an account on the Register page



Add your system details on the Add System page



Click on Add Output to add your data



Click on Your Outputs to see the data





Edit Your System

The system editor allows various details to be setup for the system including location, automatic upload, alerting and tariff information.

To update system details -



Click on Your Outputs



Click on the system size link next to the system name below the graph




Alternatively if you have more than one system -



Click on Settings



Goto the Registered Systems section at the bottom of the page



Click Edit next to the system name
